Okemos completes its season with a 5th place finish at Regional’s.

With a must-win Friday night game against number one seed Birmingham Groves to advance to the state finals Okemos finished the third quarter down 6 to 4. Two just missed scoring opportunities late in the fourth quarter by Okemos to force a 6 to 6 tie and over-time, as well as a late forth quarter Groves goal put the Chiefs out of contention for the State finals.

With a core team of juniors the Chiefs are already planning for next year with swim season next, spring polo, and Junior Olympics 2009.

Sam Marsh was named 1st team all Regional and Zac Wozniak was named Honorable Mention.

Okemos sets a new school record with 28 season wins.
