The Capital Area Water Polo club organized U16 and U18 boys' teams that represented Mid-Michigan at the Water Polo Junior Olympics. The Junior Olympics were held in Irvine, California, from July 26 to July 29, 2008.

Teams were composed primarily of Capital Area water polo players from Okemos and Holt, along with a few players from the Ann Arbor area. There were also a few players from as far away as Ohio and Pennsylvania.

The guys did a great job out at the Junior Olympics, beating more highly ranked teams from Texas, Florida and even California!
