October 3-4, 2008

Okemos was undefeated on Saturday October 4, 2008 finishing fifth out of 12 teams at the Rockford Invitational Tournament this past weekend.

The Chiefs' first game was on Friday night and Okemos posted a scoreless first quarter against long time rival East Kentwood. The resulting 3-goal deficit was difficult to overcome and Okemos lost 8 to 10.

This single loss placed the Chiefs at a best possible 5th place tournament finish.

OHS leading tournament scorer was Junior Samuel Marsh with 16 Goals. The Chief’s scoring depth was once again apparent with 5 goals each for Senior Kyle Barrett, Junior Zachary Wozniak, and Junior Greg Kohler. Additional scoring came from Juniors Cameron Casher and Jacob Leski with single goals each.

The 3 and 1 tournament finish brings the Chief’s season record to 22 wins 10 losses.
