Okemos Water Polo Rebounds From a Tragic Loss in 2009
  
After experiencing the tragic loss of senior goalie and co-captain Adam D. Nevells, the Okemos Water Polo Team regrouped in a heroic effort to carry on the season in a manner that would honor Adam's memory. The team was able to recover sufficiently to make it back to Michgan's State Finals, taking sixth place in the tournament.
Adam D. Nevells, a co-captain of the Okemos High School Water Polo Team died on Friday, September 4, 2009
 
Adam was also a captain of the Okemos High School Wrestling Team, a member of the OHS Marching and Concert Bands and was working towards becoming an Eagle Scout.
He was a dear friend and teammate. His untimely death is a devastating loss to all of us who were blessed to have had Adam as a part of our lives.
He will be remembered fondly and missed deeply.

This site was created by and for the parents, players, and coaches of the OHS water polo team but we hope it will become a useful resource to the capital area and high school water polo communities. We invite all members of the water polo community to join us!
 
It is also our goal to support the growth of water polo by sharing information on club water polo, Junior Olympics, collegiate events, clinic and camp opportunities as well as other H2O polo-related information.

This site will have both public and private, password protected, areas, which should be helpful in organizing the reams of info that go along with managing any high school team.
We will still need to rely on group e-mails for late-breaking updates inasmuch as uploading web pages is not an instantaneous process.
